7 Shark Films The Meg Will Blow Out Of The Water
6. Jersey Shore: Shark Attack
You don't need to be told that attempting to capitalise on the popularity of an obnoxious MTV reality TV show by creating a shark movie tie-in is a bad idea. Or, at least, you shouldn't.
Airing on the SyFy channel isn't usually a mark of complete quality, but the network has been home to plenty of parody horror and B-Movies (Sharknado included) before that have at least been somewhat enjoyable. Jersey Shore: Shark Attack doesn't even feature an interesting premise: there are no send-ups of characters here: a character being named "Nooki" is about as close as we get to a pastiche of the reality show sensation.
Featuring a "we can't close the beaches" storyline that's a direct rip-off of the coastal classic and is just a cheap excuse to put all of the female characters in bikinis, Jersey Shore: Shark Attack deserves to be remembered if only because it offers no entertainment value whatsoever.
The most egregious part of Jersey Shore: Shark Attack? Its director attempted a sequel-bait ending, a bland fade-to-black promise that the sharks hadn't yet disappeared and the threat was still lurking out in the ocean.
