Believe it or not, the man himself, Luke Skywalker, hasn't kept quiet about the various changes that have gone on in the Star Wars universe since he first picked up a lightsaber back in 1977.

Hamill hasn't slammed the franchise as a whole, but he did have some choice words regarding the changes to his character in Rian Johnson's The Last Jedi:

"I said to Rian, I said 'Jedis don't give up.' I mean, even if he had a problem, he would maybe take a year to try and regroup, but if he made a mistake he would try and right that wrong, so right there, we had a fundamental difference, but, it's not my story anymore, it's somebody else's story, and Rian needed me to be a certain way to make the ending effective...I almost had to think of Luke as another character. Maybe he's Jake Skywalker, he's not my Luke Skywalker."

Hamill was pretty outspoken about Johnson's take on the character that made him famous, but he did have a follow-up comment after finally seeing the film. In an interview with IMDb, he said, "I've had trouble accepting what Rian Johnson saw for Luke but again, I mean, I have to say, having seen the movie I was wrong,"
