7 Tantalising Ways Anne Hathaway Made Her Catwoman Awesome

5. She Trained Five Days A Week

It's rather typical for an actor getting ready for an outing as a superhero to go through a strict fitness regime to get them in shape for the gruelling shoot. Look at Hugh Jackman. After six goes around (we doubt he did it for that First Class cameo) he's perfected his training so he can easily pack on all that Wolverine muscle. For characters that are less about showing off their six-pack and more about sleek form, it'd be easy to think their 'training' would be all about dieting to get the figure down. Not so for Hathaway. To prepare herself for all of Selina Kyle's big, acrobatic fights, and in particular those wince-inducing leg swings, Hathaway trained for five days each week leading up to the shoot. If that sounds a little over the top, trust us it really isn't. Ranging from traditional exercise to dancing (she does have some of the trickiest choreography out of all the combatants in the trilogy), it was the most taxing training the actress had ever undertaken (not too surprising given princesses don't normally need to know hand-to-hand combat).
