7 Things Fans Demand From Loki TV Show
6. Explore Loki's Relationship With His Parents
Loki’s relationship with his mother Freya was one of the most endearing things about him in the first two Thor movies. Some would even say it was the best part of the atonal The Dark World. However, with Thor’s arc understandably taking the lead (it was his movie after all), Loki’s relationship with the All-Mother wasn’t nearly as developed as it could have been.
The TV show has an opportunity to fix that. Whether that’s through flashback or setting the show before her death, this relationship offers a clear and meaningful way to give viewers some empathy towards Loki. Whether he’s to be a hero, antihero or villain is still unknown, but either way they’ll want to provide some balance.
With Odin, we already know about this relationship, given that it’s the driving factor in Loki’s motivation, at least in his early appearances. However, there’s a deep well of emotions there, all of which help build up the picture of Loki audiences have come to know and love. The Disney+ show could delve in even further to this relationship and make Loki more complex than ever before.
