5. Flight Of The Living Dead: Outbreak On A Plane (2007)
What is so different about it? It takes place on a plane! On a transatlantic flight from Los Angeles to Paris, a group of scientists have smuggled a container holding the body of a colleague who has been infected with a virus that reanimates the dead. Of course, the dead scientists comes back to life whilst on board and all hell breaks loose. It sounds like a horrible, cheap movie but it really isn't. The effects compete with the best zombie films out there and it's an enjoyable ride. The film was responded to positively and currently holds an impressive 86% rating on RottenTomatoes.com. It should also be noted that development started before
Snakes on a Plane, so it isn't even a rip off of the terrible Samuel L. Jackson movie.
Why have you probably never seen it? The film went straight to DVD, despite getting a load of positive feedback at festival screenings (such as Montreal's 2007
Fantasia Festival).
