Although the least likely option, for reasons I'll get to later, it's still entirely possible that Mags could bite the big one at the end of this one. For such a tortured soul, the sweet release of death might just be the most fitting end for his character arc. From what we know of where Erik starts the beginning of X-Men: Apocalypse, he has a wife and a kid somewhere in Poland, and from what we know of where his story goes - ie, becoming a damn Horseman of Apocalypse - he's probably going to have to lose that wife and kid, presumably in some thoroughly depressing fashion. Factor in some behind-the-scenes shots of some angry-looking military types, and it's safe to say we know what happens to Mrs. Lehnsherr and little Erik Jr. If his wife and child actually do go the way of the Dodo, then it's no surprise that he'd join up with Apocalypse - and it might just be that the only thing that'll give Erik any peace by the end of all this is the quiet solace of death. https://www.instagram.com/p/2orboqRDxf/
