7 Ways Venom Could Join The MCU

4. Maximum Carnage

Maximum Carnage might sit comfortably in the excesses of nineties comic book-dom, even being the focus of a miserly video game made by Acclaim Entertainment, but the matchup of Spider-Man and Venom being pitted against Carnage is true popcorn stuff.

It's already clear by this stage that Venom 2 will address Carnage, with Woody Harrelson starring (red wig and all) in a post-credits sequence as Cleetus Kasady. However, a sequel need not be the only occasion in which the red symbiote appears, as the Maximum Carnage event wasn't the character's first appearance in the comics either.

Cleetus could easily become a recurring threat, and though this may be a tad preemptive, owing to the fact we've only seen 30 seconds of Harrelson as the character, Carnage is still a fan favourite villain; if he's to appear next to Venom, then why not Spider-Man too?
