7 Ways Venom Could Join The MCU
1. The Celestials, Thor, And The Guardians Of The Galaxy
For those who haven't been keeping up with Venom's comics these last few years, it may come as something of a shock to hear that some drastic changes to the character's history have been made.
For starters, in Brian Bendis' Guardians of the Galaxy, it was established that the symbiotes weren't actually evil in origin. Dubbed the Klyntar, it transpired that an evil, corrupting force had turned the beings bad, and it added a fresh twist to a mythos many had grown tired of by the time that story was originally published.
More recently, Don Cates and Ryan Stegman have been putting a further spin on the species' history by weaving it directly into Thor's history. Turns out that Gorr the Godbutcher, one of the character's biggest foes in recent years, actually came into contact with the very first symbiote. That creature was called Knull, the god of all symbiotes, and it was responsible for creating 'Knowhere' - the floating head of a dead Celestial featured in both Guardians of the Galaxy films.
It provides the perfect way for Marvel Studios to integrate the symbiotes into the MCU, and with Venom having already embraced the cosmic origins of the character, there's clearly potential for more to come.
