It's in no way uncommon for actresses to fall pregnant while shooting a movie, forcing the filmmakers to find creative ways to hide it.

For example, Gal Gadot was five months pregnant during Wonder Woman's reshoots, and so the production placed a green cloth over her stomach, allowing them to digitally remove the baby bump later.

But for 2016's survival thriller The Shallows, Blake Lively had nowhere to hide, given that she spent almost the entire movie wearing figure-hugging clothing while stranded on a rock.

Basically, she was totally exposed for the vast majority of the movie's runtime, making it incredibly difficult for her to hide the fact that, for the film's reshoots, she was several months pregnant with a visible bump.

Beyond simply shooting Lively at angles which concealed her pregnancy, director Jaume Collet-Serra also had Lively dip the lower half of her body into the water and covered it with a surfboard for certain scenes.

All in all, you'd never guess she was pregnant at all from watching the final film, so it's most certainly a job well done.
