8 Actors We Want For Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight

8. Kevin Costner

In the late 80s and early 90s, Kevin Costner was, pardon the pun, untouchable in Hollywood. He had a string of acting hits, even won Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Director (Dances with Wolves), but with the release of his mega-flop Waterworld, his kingdom soon enough came crashing down. It certainly didn't help that he followed it up with the laughable The Postman, and despite some intermittently compelling performances since, he's generally been flying pretty low on the radar for the last 15 or so years. So, he's perfectly ripe for a classic Tarantino career revival, then. Costner enjoyed success in last year's Man of Steel, delivering an impressive performance as Jonathan Kent, and a meaty role in a Tarantino film should be just what the actor needs to get his groove back. He was originally supposed to star in the director's Django Unchained as the mandingo trainer, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
