5. Wesley Snipes Strangled David S. Goyer, Because Blade: Trinity
Blade: Trinity was, according to Patton Oswalt, a "troubled" shoot. Wesley Snipes eventually filed a lawsuit against the film's studio, New Line Cinema, citing racial discrimination and creative choices made without his permission, but during filming things were no better, with the "f***ing crazy" Snipes smoking weed all day, staying in character as Blade and, inevitably, taking the fight to writer-director David S. Goyer. Snipes was apparently never happy with the direction in which Blade: Trinity was heading creatively, and he had some personal issues with Goyer to boot ("You racist motherf***er!", Snipes at one point screamed at his director), which all led to the incident in which Snipes eventually "tried to strangle" Goyer. After their scuffle, Snipes refused to speak to Goyer, instead communicating with him via post-it notes signed "From Blade".
Lover of film, writer of words, pretentious beyond belief. Thinks Scorsese and Kubrick are the kings of cinema, but PT Anderson and David Fincher are the dashing young princes. Follow Brogan on twitter if you can take shameless self-promotion: @BroganMorris1
