8 Actors Who Should Come Out Of Retirement For One Last Role
5. Jonathan Taylor Thomas
How is it that we, as a society, let Jonathan Taylor Thomas slip through our fingertips? Did we all just take for granted that he was always around, always providing us with his boyish good looks and sly charm? Seriously. The dude nearly vanished from sight for good following the finale of Home Improvement, only popping up on the occasional episode of whichever TV show needed a quick shot of nostalgia. Now, purely as a technicality, I should add that JTT recently showed up in a couple of stray episodes of his old fictional father's new show, Last Man Standing, but those were just glorified cameos for a ratings-bating Home Improvement reunion. We deserve the real deal, with Thomas playing a major role in something. So might I suggest getting him involved as the star of his own series, but in an entirely unfamiliar role, a la fellow 3-named child star Neil Patrick Harris in How I Met Your Mother? Let JTT play a womanizing recovering alcoholic with a severe porn addiction, just to swiftly remove the band-aid that this isn't the same Teen Beat crush from the 90s.
