8 Actors Who Spoiled The Endings To Their Own Work

8. Darth Vader Tells Fans The Ending To Empire Strikes Back Years In Advance

Here's a story that will provide some context for just how nuts we've all become over having any pertinent information revealed about an upcoming film. In 1978, the man who provided the physical acting of Darth Vader, David Prowse (henceforth known as "The Body," because that's a killer nickname that Jesse Ventura shouldn't get entirely to himself), made a promotional stop at a Berkley, California shop to sign autographs and answer questions from fans about the first Star Wars film. During this meet-and-greet, he told the throngs of fans that plans were already underway to make this little sci-fi movie into a full-blown trilogy. Oh, and also, Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker would be involved in an epic lightsaber duel where it is revealed that Luke is Vader's son. No biggie. Who has the next question? Could you imagine a twist ending this epic being so casually revealed today? And this was before the second film had even started filming! Whoever spilled a can of beans this oversized in the Internet age would be blacklisted from Hollywood, forced to live out the rest of their days as an outcast from general society.
