8 Actors With Mysterious Roles In Upcoming Films

2. Brenton Thwaites - Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Brenton Thwaites either has no measure of a project's quality or the worst agent in Hollywood. Even though he's been in some pretty major releases in the past year, not one has been good, or shown any actual acting skill from him. He was less dashing than the paper-thin Prince Charming from the original cartoon in Maleficent, doing little more than read the script in The Giver and flat-out boring in Son Of Gun. A run like that would normally mean an actor's career is over, but for some reason studios really want Thwaites to work. Up next for the Australian is a starring role in the next Pirates Of the Caribbean film, Dead Franchises Make No Money. It's a project that already feels a bit pointless (The Curse Of The Black Pearl will be almost fifteen years old when its released), and the appointing of such a basic actor doesn't really instil confidence; the producers no doubt saw Maleficent's haul and misread that as something to do with him. Who He Could Be Playing? There's been suggestions that Pirates 5 will deal with Will Turner, now Davy Jones, attempting to connect with his son, which means Thwaites is probably going to be playing Orlando Bloom's offspring. Just hope they're not planning on building a future franchise around him.
