1. Christopher Plummer Hates The Sound Of Music - And Nobody Really Knows Why

Sound of MusicThe Sound of Music is recognised as one of those movies that everybody likes, regardless of whether or not you actually like it (or have even seen it). That's how iconic this thing is - you just have to love it, because c'mon, it's The Sound of Music. I mean, what have you got against The Sound of Music? Are you a Nazi or something? And yet Christopher Plummer, who played iconic character Captain Von Trapp in the movie (a part he described as being bland and empty), is known for his rather forceful and bizarrely ambiguous hate of the beloved classic. What, exactly, happened during the filming of this thing that caused Plummer to redub it The Sound of Mucus, just for laughs? Granted, that's super funny and everything, although an explanation would have been nice. Nope: to this day, Christopher Plummer insists on disliking a movie that the world informally agreed we should all praise forever without question. It's about defying the Nazis, Christopher - that's good for something, surely? Apparently not. The actor didn't even bother turning up to the 40th anniversary reunion.
