8 Arrogant Movie Stars With Disgracefully Large Egos

1. Gwyneth Paltrow Couldn't Be Bothered To Learn The Plot Of Iron Man 3

Paltrow3 When an actor is clearly in a film for the money, particularly one with such a devoted fan base, they're always going to come across as a bit disconnected. When Gwyneth Paltrow went on the Kermode And Mayo review show back in May she was unable to recount the plot of Iron Man 3, the film she was on there to promote. Fair enough it€™s a pretty silly one and she€™s off screen for a good hour in the middle, but isn't it a tad arrogant to just ignore something like that? Geek approved after doing a good job with Pepper Potts (if not the publicity), this is only the first in a long line of incidents where Mrs Martin proves she€™s painfully out of touch with the real world; one interview had her giving fashion tips including a suggested summer wardrobe amounting to $20,000. My least favourite comment? €œI would rather die than let my kid eat a Cup-A-Soup.€ Particularly cutting given what I was planning to have for lunch today. If an actor embraces celebrity culture then they€™re as much accountable for what they say about their lives as they do about their movies and Paltrow has to be one whose complete detachment from reality leads to too much baggage being brought into the cinema. Thankfully, far from getting a free pass, contemporaries as prolific as Angelina Jolie have criticised her often condescending comments. Any more famous stars who are actually incredibly arrogant? Let us know down in the comments.
