1. Superman/Batman
Was there ever any doubt? This is pure, unadulterated, Grade-A comic book gold. The movie that fan boys the world over have waited a lifetime to see. An idea so inherently awesome that its shocking that the only time that Superman & Batman have EVER been seen together in a live action film was in 2004s 4 minute long Worlds Finest, by fan film legend Sandy Collora. Its tragic that we live in a world with two Ghost Rider movies and yet no Superman/Batman movie. Apart from being the worlds two most iconic superheroes, Superman & Batman are the Yin & Yang of the DC Universe. They represent light vs. dark, hope vs. fear, brawn vs. brain, and trust vs. paranoia. And yet they both fight on the side of the angels. The real brilliance of a Worlds Finest movie would lie in the inherent contrast between its two titular characters. 2015s Justice League offers the perfect base for a Superman/Batman spin-off and the creation of a standalone Worlds Finest franchise. And in terms of a plot, Jeph Loebs Public Enemies (quite possibly the finest- no pun intended- Superman/Batman story ever written) offers a script that is almost tailor made for a big budget, cinematic adaptation. Come on, Warner Bros... this needs to happen. And soon.
