8 Awesome Ways For The Joker To Cameo In Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
5. Robin's Murder
A logical and long rumoured way for The Joker to cameo would be to have the story behind that defaced suit further explored via flashback. The inclusion of Jason Todd's Robin costume in Batman V Superman is already interesting enough (it sets up the possibility of the Red Hood and obviously confirms that Batman had a sidekick in this still very dark and grounded take on the DC Universe), but that graffiti is a surprising twist. After all, while The Joker may have beaten Robin with a crowbar in the comics and then left him to die in an explosion, he didn't sign his handiwork, and the fact that this version of The Joker decided to really highlights what a sadistic monster he is. Those who don't read comic books will no doubt be unfamiliar with the fact that the villain murdered the youngster, so a flashback depicting him doing the deed would instantly establish him as a credible threat in this world and has the advantage of not just setting up the events of Suicide Squad, but also Batman's planned solo movie. Regardless of whether this Joker shot Robin, beat him to death with a crowbar, or kidnapped and brainwashed him as in the recent Arkham Knight video game, having him make an appearance to shed some light on the story behind this costume - and potentially why Bruce Wayne has become the way he has - would be one of the best possible ways to ensure The Joker's cameo in Batman V Superman really matters.
