8 Awkward MCU Moments That Must Have Happened Off-Screen
1. Loki Didn't Get Shawarma - The Avengers
When The Avengers first came together, it was a momentous occasion. After struggling to really get any traction as a team, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes came together to defeat Loki in New York, and save the city from a nuclear bomb at the same time. This called for celebration, for which Tony Stark took his new friends for shawarma.
This was worth a chuckle as a post-credits scene in 2012, but seeing it play out from from a slightly different in Avengers: Endgame raised a very good question. Where was Loki?
Thor told Alexander Pierce that the Avengers were off for a spot of lunch (namely shawarma), and would then return Loki to Asgard. The God of Mischief was nowhere to be seen when the team got their food however, so where was he?
Thor wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to keep their eyes on his brother, so it seems that the only logical, and hilarious option is that Loki was off screen somewhere trapped under Mjolnir. Much like he did at the end of Thor, the God of Thunder gave Loki the demigod equivalent of tying a dog to a lamppost.
