This character had an indirect tease in the latest movie, but it seems like his story may be a bit different from the comics.

Hush is really Thomas Elliot, a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne's. Thomas' time growing up was a negative reflection of Bruce's, as he went through a lot of the same beats Bruce did, but twisted. While Bruce's parents were loving, Thomas' parents were abusive and controlling. While Bruce's parents were killed by a random mugger, Thomas tried to kill his parents by cutting the brakes to their car, and when that only killed his father, Thomas later killed his mom by hand when he got a bit older so he could take his family fortune.

Thomas grew up to be a neurosurgeon with a secret hatred of the Waynes, using his smarts and ruthlessness to become Hush, learn that Bruce is Batman, and orchestrate a plan to finally kill the vigilante. Hush would be more than at home in a movie, and with any hope, he'll be in one soon.
