8 Batsh*t Crazy Theories For The Plots Of Marvel's Phase 4

1. Avengers v Sinister Six

Providing things continue to go well between Marvel and Sony, the two of them pooling their resources to create what would be a truly epic crossover makes perfect sense for Phase 4. We already know that Drew Goddard's Sinister Six movie would have loosely adapted the Ultimate Six storyline (which saw Spider-Man forced to work with the villains before being rescued by The Avengers), so why not fully commit to that? While it would obviously be great to see Spidey squaring off with the Sinister Six by himself, why wouldn't he call in The Avengers to help? The wall-crawler could really be given the chance to step up here, leading Earth's Mightiest Heroes into action against his greatest foes, a team which is definitely powerful enough to warrant the attention of whoever ends up being part of that team after Avengers: Infinity War. Like that adaptation of World War Hulk, taking The Avengers franchise in this direction would feel unexpected and new, and providing the response to Spider-Man in Phase 3 is a good one, this movie could be beneficial to both Marvel and Sony. The fans would be the real winners though, and a Spidey led Avengers taking on the Sinister Six feels like the best possible way to make his role in the MCU as exciting as possible.
