8 Best College Campus Horror Movies You've Never Heard Of

Taking a trip back to the 80s now we have this campy little number. Whilst the box office may not have been kind to it, in the years since its release this sci-fi horror comedy has gained a strong cult following.

In an unbelievably trope-y opening, we see a college student become possessed by an alien slug after witnessing his date be attacked by an escaped mental patient.

Flash forward a few decades and we re-join slug-boy as he is unwittingly released by two college freshers completing an initiation. It really is like a cliché checklist: the aliens, the possession, the escaped patient, the teen couple under attack.

What follows is a hilarious combination of alien, zombie and murderer madness as the police and students try to figure out what is going on. With college romances, clueless police and a sprinkling of Hollywood-typical violence this movie promises you a good time with some laughs along the way.

Deep cinematic masterpiece it is not, but when I said the words ‘alien slug’ were you really expecting anything different? Just sit back, relax and enjoy this ridiculous horror romp.
