Another villain that looks nailed on to feature in Far From Home is the Chameleon, the wall-crawler's first ever comic book adversary introduced in the Amazing Spider-Man #1, which saw the character crossover with the Fantastic Four.

Played by Numan Acar, Dmitri Smerdyakov is a master of disguise whose primary talent is industrial espionage. He's also related to Kraven the Hunter (but we'll get to that some other time).

The Chameleon Strikes is must-read for fans of Spider-Man, what with the book kickstarting the legendary partnership between Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, and it all kicks off with Spidey looking for work with the Fantastic Four. The group spurn his request, offering no salary to the financially impaired Parker, but the exchange clues the Chameleon in on a scheme to steal plans from the Baxter Building, which he does by dressing up as the web-slinger.

It remains to be seen how Acar portrays the Chameleon in Far From Home, but with seven months to go until he appears, fans would do well to familiarise themselves with the character by giving his earliest appearances a read.
