Things are really kicking up a gear in June, with each new week seeing the arrival of at least one contender with lofty box office ambitions.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows is out this week in numerous territories, as is the computer game adaptation Warcraft, which will make its U.S. bow on 10 June. That date will also see Now You See Me 2 released in numerous international markets and the Four Horsemen will be taking their magic act elsewhere throughout the month and into July.

And just to add to the competition, The Conjuring 2 will also open in the States on 10 June, which should make for some very interesting forecasts and results around the middle of the month.

The following week will finally see the release of Finding Dory a full 13 years after Finding Nemo took Pixar to another level in terms of commercial clout, while Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart will be bringing the funny in Central Intelligence. Another long-gestating sequel rounds out the month as Independence Day: Resurgence opens wide on 24 June.

Truly a bumper month for multiplexes, so what can we expect from this spate of new releases?
