8 Casting Decisions In Upcoming Movies That Are Completely Perfect

4. Bill Murray - Baloo (The Jungle Book)

It's a certified fact: Bill Murray in anything always makes that thing infinitely better. As an actor, Murray can often be seen playing characters that are thinly-veiled versions of his classic persona, and so while it's probably true that no-one really imagined him as a big blue bear, now that this casting revelation has been announced - that is, Murray as Baloo in the upcoming Disney movie live-action remake - it seems like a role he was destined to play. Can you imagine how insanely great it's going to be to hear Bill freakin' Murray singing "The Bear Necessities?" It's like something out of a dream. Murray has done voice-over work before, notably on Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr. Fox, the Garfield movies and Osmosis Jones (remember that?), but this is most likely to emerge as his best and most memorable turn of the bunch (it's probably best we all forget Garfield). For a character like Baloo to work, you need an actor who creates a sense of unbridled comfort, after all: naturally funny and cool without even really trying to be: Bill Murray to a T.
