8 Casting Decisions That Could Ruin 2016's Biggest Movies

Got a feeling that something ain't quite right with these choices?

Casting is an inherently tricky business, especially when it comes to the movies. It is also, arguably, the most important element when it comes to drawing people into the theatre - if they don't like the look of who's in the movie, they're unlikely to go and see it. That's just how our brains work. But getting people to go and see a film is only half the battle; once they've handed over their cash, audiences expect the actors to deliver. And this is where so many movies fail nowadays... in the casting department. "Miscast" is a word that gets thrown around a lot, and - generally speaking - it's used as a shorthand to denote somebody who pretty much derails a film by way of their being in it. You never really know whether or not an actor is going to thrive in a role or die in one (and neither does Hollywood, which is why casting pretty much anyone is a risky business), but - looking at the slate of upcoming blockbusters due for release in 2016 - there are a few questionable casting decisions on the cards which could very well have the potential to spoil some of the year's biggest motion picture ventures. Of course, they could all pull a Heath Ledger and surprise the hell out of us, and yet there's no escaping that nagging feeling that the following 8 actors aren't right for their roles...
