7. The Dead Pool Guns & Roses
The black sheep of the Dirty Harry anthology. This movie is widely regarded as the worst film of this beloved franchise, even some Clint Eastwood afficionados of Clint Eastwood's filmography would go as far to say that this movie does not exist or at least just a crazy dream Callaghan had one night due to post traumatic stress disorder (you can add "the Rookie" & "Pink Cadillac" to the list of unacceptable inclusions). But love it or hate it, it exists. And it came out on VHS when I was the tender age of ten. And quite frankly, I am the one of those nut jobs who believes the crazy notion that this is a definitive 80's classic and is my personal favorite of the bunch. I had a lot of family issues growing up and it this was the perfect escape from reality I needed. There was nothing more than I wanted in the world as a child after seeing this movie than a remote control car packed with C4 explosives (I got a Robotech Jet instead, so I wasn't that unhappy at Xmas). In later viewings as an adult I found it lacked the familiar presence that was Albert Popwell, but as a child I noticed no such thing. I was in awe at these scruffy looking rockstar types (one of which I will get to later) blasting out this crazy new rock music I'd never heard before whilst in the background the now infamous Liam Neeson was directing a homage to one of the scariest movies I still couldn't sit through at the time, The Exorcist. Although the appearances were brief, they were my favorite parts of the movie (along with the mini car bomb of course) and even though I do regret the original line-up breaking down, I still to this day listen to them regularly and I even in fact think "Chinese Democracy" is a severely underrated and great album. Not only does it contains some of my favorite tracks from the past decade, but if he just called the album AXL, there wouldn't have been an issue with his monstrous Buckethead infused effort....I did say that I was a nut job, ha.... By the way, that aforementioned scruffy looking rock star I mentioned in passing earlier, that was a very young Jim Carrey, who is the basis for my next introduction....

Passions in life: Movies, Music and Wrestling....My childhood was spent growing up in the "Outback" of Australia (I'm a little bit country) and my adulthood resided within the city limits (I'm a little bit rock and roll), so you could say that I am the best (or worst) of both worlds. A 6 foot 7 ex wannabe pro wrestler (whose career was cut short due to a busted back, NOT caused by wrestling) & muso who has a precocious cat & a habit of doing the wrong thing but for the right reasons. The story of my life????
All demos, no albums ;)
