8 Comic Book Characters The Undertaker Could Play In A Movie

2. Jesse Custer

This would certainly be the most tasking role out of those listed here for the Undertaker to... undertake, but we can't help thinking that Calaway could pull it off to perfection with a bit of honing given to his acting. Custer, star of Vertigo's "Preacher", is a small-town minister who becomes fused with a powerful entity called Genesis, giving him the ability to order people to do whatever he says. Using this power, he begins a journey of discovery and revenge across America (an "American Bad Ass" he certainly is). Jesse is a loyal devotee to the Western film genre (best epitomised by the guiding spirit of John Wayne, whom only Jesse sees) and the Undertaker's Texan roots suitably fit this aspect of his character. He is also an accomplished fist-fighter and a cunning strategist, meaning the Undertaker's wrestling abilities and character mind-games carry some weight as far as his suitability for the role is concerned. Admittedly, this is a stretch, but it had to be included as the thought of Mark Calaway getting this right is stupendous on a head-exploding level and the juxtaposition between the role of a priest and 'Taker's sometimes anti-Christian portrayals in WWE would be very interesting.
