4. Wonder Woman 3 (Wonder Woman)
Of all things in comic book hero cinema, it seemed safe to assume Wonder Woman was here for good. How wrong we were... While Gal Gadot may not be everyone's ideal Princess Diana (especially not fans of The Crown), the two Patty Jenkins films to date have been some of the more successful DCEU entries.
Unfortunately for Jenkins, Gadot and Wonder Woman devotees, the third film has just this month been canned by James Gunn and Peter Safran, who have been put in charge of the DCEU's direction and film slate, ostensibly in an effort to tidy it up, court MCU success and shift the Snyder-shaped shadow looming over the universe.
Jenkins' recently-submitted treatment for Wonder Woman 3 would have seen Gadot return to the role for what the director sees as the completion of a trilogy, concluding Diana's character arc across her three films. While concrete plot or character details about the film are still as tightly under wraps as if it were being made, there have been some strong suggestions that the sorceress Circe and Amazon warrior Nubia would be putting in an appearance, both pulled in directly from the comics.
