3. Martian Manhunter

Currently making his presence felt in Supergirl, Martian Manhunter is a character who has a ton of history with the Justice League both in the comic books and animated TV shows. The powerful shape-shifting alien should absolutely be included here, especially if Darkseid is the main threat; he brings an alien perspective to things and could be used as a way of explaining that villain's motivations as he takes aim at the Earth. Martian Manhunter obviously has the potential to do more than just being used to explain what's going on to both the characters and audience though, and he's the kind of heavy hitter this iteration of the Justice League could definitely benefit from. With powers ranging from flight to super strength and telekinesis and telepathy, the involvement of J'onn J'onzz would have a massive impact on the way this movie plays out.
