This choice really hinges on how things pan out in Batman v Superman, but if you're at all familiar with the current Justice League comic books, you'll no doubt be well aware that Lex Luthor recently blackmailed his way onto the team by figuring out Batman's secret identity and using that information against the Caped Crusader. Something similar playing out here would be very unexpected, but could be a cool way to continue his arc. It's unlikely Lex will don his iconic armour in the final act of Dawn of Justice, but having him do so to take on a world ending threat like Darkseid makes perfect sense. Seeing Superman forced to work alongside an enemy who so recently put Metropolis at risk by creating Doomsday would result in great drama, and ending the movie with Lex perceived as a hero by the public would nicely set up that rumoured Man of Steel sequel.
