6. Dominic Sena
Despite its reputation as a huge box office bomb, Dominic Sena's
Kalifornia (spelt with a "K", see, 'cause that's cooler) was a relative hit amongst critics the world over, though its director would not have long to enjoy that kind of glorious success, given that he's not made anything even close to good since (and that was 20 years ago). Between
Kalifornia and his next flick, which was that remake of
Gone In 60 Seconds, Sena took a whopping 7 year break. He must've forgot how to direct in that time period, as he later went on to helm
Swordfish (oh no!),
Whiteout (huh?) and
Season of the Witch (the song?), because those are the only movie projects open to somebody who should have bailed on filmmaking a long time ago.
