8 Elements Of The Star Wars Expanded Universe That Need To Be Canon

7. The Celestials

The Old Republic may be set in the ancient days of the Star Wars universe, but if you go even further back then you have the Celestials, a race of mysterious, presumably god like beings, also known as the Architects, who helped to shape the very basis of the universe. Maybe Disney will get tired of making Star Wars films and comics about lightsaber duels and people blowing each other up in space, and decide to get philosophical by exploring the origins of civilisation, using the Celestials as a focus point. Will we have a Prometheus style Star Wars film about the discovery of the Architects of the universe, or even a massive Artuther C. Clarke style tome that realigns how we view the galaxy? This would also be an excellent way to further make the Star Wars galaxy relatable - the Celestials are clearly based on the Ancient Astronaut Hypothesis, which states that an ancient alien species used to control the Earth.
