6. Mara Jade
We know very little about what Luke's been up to in the 30 years since Return Of The Jedi, but surely he must have had some kind of romance in that time, right? Even now, in his advanced age, Mark Hamill is still one heck of a good looking man, so the chances of Luke remaining single for over thirty years are pretty slim (hopefully they'll ignore that nonsense from the prequels about the Jedi having to remain single). And if that's the case, there really is no need for Disney to create a new female love interest for him when there is already a very popular EU character who fans would love to see bought into the canon. Formerly known as The Emperor's Hand, Mara Jade was an assassin who worked for Emperor Palpatine, but after his death got the hots for Luke, turned to the Light Side, and ended up marrying him. She ended up being so popular that actress Shannon McRandle was even brought in to portray her for merchandise photoshoots alongside being featured in numerous video games (sometimes as a playable character). She would up killed by Han's son, who had recently turned to the Dark Side, another element that could be easily brought across too.
