8 Embarrassing Movie Roles Tom Hardy Probably Regrets

7. Theo - Minotaur

Minotaur marks one of Tom Hardy's earliest filmic performances in a movie so relentlessly boring and badly-rendered that you could be forgiven for thinking it was directed by a 15-year-old teenager. Hardy plays a bearded man named Theo in this sort-of retelling of the Theseus and the Minotaur myth, except, uh, not? Here, it's plain to see that Hardy hadn't made the full-on transition from pretty okay actor to genuinely good actor; there is charisma, and potential, but his acting is also comparable to that of Kit Harington's Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. Insufferable broody, to the point where you want to scream: "Cheer up, you boring sod!" at the screen. You should know: Minotaur was directed by a man named "Jonathan English." As in, Johnny English. Seriously.
