8 Embarrassing Movie Roles Tom Hardy Probably Regrets
6. Zack - Flood
Flood is a very self-consciously-British British film, featuring people that are stereotypically British in all their Britishness - working class, posh, it doesn't matter. They're either "London" or "Lahndahn," you know, just like in real life. The plot hinges on a premise that dares to depict what might happen should the world's foremost capital end up flooded out of all comprehension, and in depicting that scenario it is done rather badly, with awful CG effect and lots of bad acting. Tom Hardy plays a character called Zack, a lowly London Underground worker who could not be any less interested in his job if you forced him to be at gunpoint. Hardy essentially plays himself here - he walks around with his hands in his pockets, mumbling his lines, not entirely with it by the looks of things. It's a forgettable role, and given that the film itself is low-budget cack, there's no reason to assume that he's all that pleased to have it on his CV.
