It's not just Germany (or whatever Leipzig's filling in for) where Spider-Man's going to be making an appearance. Befitting of all that talk about a grounded, teenage focus, everything points towards us spending some time in the Queens home of Peter Parker. There's been reports of set dressings for the Parker home being bought/built and the understanding is there'll be a taste of the kid behind the mask ahead of spending a whole movie with him. Like anything to do with the narrative specifics of Holland's part, what exactly this scene(s) will entail is unclear, although the suggestion seems to be it'll also mark the introduction of another key character from Spider-Man's corner of the Marvel Universe. I mean, if we are going to the Parker house then it seems like a fair bet, we'll see Aunt May. This explains why Marisa Tomei was cast in the part so soon after Holland - Marvel needed her ready to shoot her first scenes straight away, well ahead of the production for the 2017 film she's also starring in.
