7. Aragorn Screams In The Two Towers...Because Viggo Mortensen Broke His Toe
The entire scene may not have been an accident, but this moment is so interesting it had to be included on this list. During The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers, Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli track a band of Uruk-Hai who have capture the two Hobbits Merry and Pippin. Our heroes track the Hobbits to Fangorn Forest, where they find a pile of cremated orc remains and one of the Hobbit's belts, seemingly confirming their demise at the spears of the Rohirrim. In the scene, Aragorn who has lead the lengthy tracking mission from Amon Hen becomes frustrated, kicking a metal Uruk-Hai helmet. The scene's most powerful detail is undoubtedly Aragorn's rage-induced scream, and the fact that he falls to his knees in utter defeat. But these details were introduced by complete accident, when Viggo Mortensen the actor who portrays Aragorn actually broke his toe while kicking the helmet, eliciting the scream and the need to fall to his knees.
