While there are certainly plenty of examples of gory violence this Wolverine movie could include, an R-Rating also opens the door to a more grown up story which features a story and imagery which would never be allowed into a PG-13 release. That's why this moment stands out as being pretty fitting for this movie, and the sight of Wolverine crucified could go down as a truly iconic moment for this interpretation of the character. Nailed to a giant "X" and left to suffer in the heat of the Australian desert, Wolverine started suffering from hallucinations of his greatest enemies and failures, something which opens the door to some potentially very exciting cameos here. Regardless, this movie needs to take Logan to some new and very dark places, so a piece of imagery as horrific and memorable as this would definitely allow the movie to make a real impact.
