Need another reminder of why Episode III - Revenge of the Sith is the undisputed darkest prequel movie? Look no further than the fact that George Lucas decided to kill his own baby boy in it!

That's right, after already appearing in Episode II - Attack of the Clones as Padawan Zett Jukassa during the Jedi Archive scene involving Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jocasta Nu, Jett Lucas had another cameo in the next prequel.

This one was a little more savage, though.

Moments after showing up to fight off some clone troopers ordering Bail Organa to get away from the Jedi Temple in the wake of Order 66 being given, Lucas' adopted son was brutally slaughtered by 501st troops in front of the devastated senator.

It's already a properly horrific beat, but it becomes even more shocking once you realise the director actually decided to secretly put his own lad at the centre of the barbaric murder scene.

Still, getting to wave a lightsaber around in full Jedi gear must have been quite an experience for the kid, even if it did end with him being suddenly dispatched by the one-time allies of the Jedi.

"Thanks, dad."
