4. Turning Back Time - Superman: The Movie
Depending on how you look at it this is the most controversial action ever committed in the comic universe. The evil genius Lex Luther puts Superman in a position where he can either save the world or Lois Lane. Being Superman he is first compelled to save the world, but despite rushing back is just too late to save Lois. Angry with himself for not being super enough, he flies into space and turns back time so he can fix his mistake... What? As I pointed out in my
previous article, this says either a lot about Superman's intelligence or perhaps his morality in general. He is willing to mess with the course of history and time travel just to satisfy his own selfish wants. In that case where was Superman for every bad thing that happened since he came to Earth? He's not willing to stop wars or terrorist plots, but will turn back time on everyone to save Lois? Hey, if you have a really bad life-ruining day that you still can remember tomorrow don't blame yourself, don't blame humanity, and sure as heck don't start blaming God. Blame Superman, he didn't fix time for you because your initials are not LL.
