8 Horror Characters Whose Fates Were Only Revealed In Spin-Offs

2. The Life Of Rosemary's Baby Made It To TV!

If you can name a better slow-burn horror than Rosemary's Baby, you've clearly got more knowledge in scary movies than John Carpenter himself.

This film is a cinematic classic that haunted the world upon its release and can be viewed with hair-raising terror even today, thanks to its reliance on creepiness, strong acting and tension. It's also one of the few iconic horror movies that never went on to become a franchise, but that's not for want of trying.

Most people consider Rosemary's Baby a one-off flick, but there was a (slightly underground) sequel called Look What's Happened To Rosemary's Baby. This direct-to-TV movie followed on from the original, showing the child (Adrian/Andrew) growing up under the ever-dangerous eye of the satanic coven from the first movie.

Simply put, it's a poor attempt to continue the story. The TV movie is a shallow experience that lacks any of the tension or dread seen in its predecessor and only features one actor reprising their role - Ruth Gordon as Minnie.

This wasn't the last follow-up either, as the novel the original movie was based on received its own sequel from the same author, Ira Levin. Still, if you're expecting Son Of Rosemary to be any better, you're in for a disappointing read.
