6. Jamie Lloyd - Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers

The whole Curse of Thorn angle is likely the most notable part of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers - well, that and an early role for a young Paul Rudd - but one of the more jarring parts of this sixth Halloween film is how it's first few minutes see Jamie Lloyd brutally killed off.

As a child, the Jamie character had been the central protagonist of the previous two instalments in the Halloween franchise, with her depicted as the daughter of the now-deceased Laurie Strode - which, in the canon of the franchise at this point, made Jamie the niece of Michael Myers.

When The Curse of Michael Myers opted to bring Jamie back into the fold as a young adult, the film made her a new mother who was being held captive by a cult headed up by the Man in Black and Michael. Yep, in case you were wondering, this was where the Halloween series jumped the shark for many.

It was presumed that Jamie would once again pick up the mantle as the hero of the hour in The Curse of Michael Myers, yet she found herself merely being fodder for the Shape - with Jamie impaled on some old farm kit and brutalised by Myers.

Thankfully, the scene revealing that Michael was the father of Jamie's child was left on the cutting room floor. And no, we're not joking.
