Star Trek reboot from 2009, during one of the Enterprise scenes, you can view the world's favourite robot hero flying past the screen at about 100mph. When the first person spotted this thing a while back, nobody was sure whether or not it was real, but eventually some of the guys over at Industrial Light and Magic opened up and confirmed it. The most interesting thing about this little in-joke, of course, is that J.J. Abrams has now signed on to direct the next
Star Wars movie, which makes this a nice little moment of foreshadowing. Did Abrams know he was going to direct a
Star Wars movie at some point in the future, and opted to include this cameo because it was had proven too much for him to keep his mouth shut? No. Definitely not. But that would have been more interesting.
