Known for: Four Weddings And A Funeral (1994), Notting Hill (1999), About A Boy (2002) Arrested for: Indecent conduct with a prostitute in a public place On June 27th, 1995, Hugh Grant made a mistake that will forever haunt his career. He was being watched by police as he drove up to a prostitute at around 1:30am, allowed her to get in the car, and rode with her to a neighborhood street where they proceeded to engage in "lewd conduct." Shortly after, Hugh and the woman (Divine Brown) were taken into custody and the news made waves all throughout the industry. See, Hugh Grant was a rising star and was there to promote his first major starring Hollywood film, Nine Months. Oh, and he was dating Elizabeth Hurley at the time, so I'm sure that might have been a problem. Hugh Grant would go on to famously appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote his movie instead of cancelling like some thought he would. Jay Leno asked him point blank "What were you thinking?" to which Hugh replied "I think you know in life what's a good thing to do and what's a bad thing, and I did a bad thing. And there you have it." Hugh has gone on to have a steady career in the acting world, most recently appearing in Cloud Atlas last year. Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
