It's fair to say that one of Suicide Squad's biggest strengths is the palpable sense of camaraderie between the motley crew of criminal degenerates, which was in part due to David Ayer insisting on extensive rehearsals to ensure the cast's chemistry was truly felt on-screen.

But there was one major exception to this rule, as both Ayer and Robbie felt that having her not rehearse with Jared Leto's Joker would in fact give the scenes an unpredictable dynamism during shooting.

Though audiences remain firmly divided - if we're being kind - on Leto's performance as the Clown Prince of Crime, you can certainly feel the nervous, anxious energy in these scenes.
