8 Little Known Tics That Make Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool Awesome
5. Wade & Deadpool Feel Like Distinct Characters
Reynolds obviously spends the vast majority of these films suited-up as Wade Wilson's superhero alter-ego, but Wilson also makes sporadic appearances, and the actor does a great job delineating the man and the anti-hero as two sides of the same coin.
Look back to those early scenes in the first Deadpool: the cocky mercenary we see there with a shaved eyebrow and buzz cut feels like a far cry from the more caring superhero we're dealing with by the end of Deadpool 2.
The grotesque make-up certainly helps Reynolds separate the burns victim Wade from the blood-thirsty vengeance-monger Deadpool, and further still, the brief flashes of a pre-disfigurement Wade - especially during Deadpool 2's heavenly visions - again remind us he's been on one hell of a journey.
