6. He Fought For The Most Comic-Accurate Costume Possible
Reynolds also fought hard for the final Deadpool suit to be as comic-accurate as possible, reportedly bristling with Fox executives on minute aspects of the design right up until the last few days before shooting began.
Reynolds and director Tim Miller had just 12 weeks to prep the shoot after receiving the green light, much of which was spent tweaking the suit against the wishes of an increasingly frustrated studio.
Reynolds and Miller's persistence was clearly worthwhile, though, as the result was one of the most authentic superhero movie costumes ever, and one which Reynolds has looked at home in ever since his first second of screen time in the original Deadpool.
Considering that the suit effectively informs almost the entirety of his performance, he was smart to pour so much time and energy into absolutely nailing it.
