8 Major Comic-Con Revelations Everyone Missed

1. Deadpool Will Earn Its R-Rating With A Marathon Sex Scene

Happily for a film that's been over a half-decade in development, it seems most people were wowed by the Deadpool trailer shown at Comic-Con. The trailer apparently at least proved that the film warranted the R-rating through its penchant for casual violence and cursing, with a character at one point opining that Deadpool looks like "Freddy Krueger face-f**ked a topographical map of Utah".

While there were a couple of seconds of it, though, sex was largely absent from the Deadpool trailer. According to Ryan Reynolds, it's mostly being saved for the movie, which won't shy away from steamy images of folks doing the no-pants dance.

Deadpool won't, in fact, feature any old sex scene, but an "awesome sex montage" involving Wade Wilson and Morena Baccarin's love interest Vanessa. In Reynolds's words, Deadpool's sex scene will be "very athletic" - the postmodern Watchmen aside, will this be the first major comic book movie to feature full-on, R-rated sex? Watch this space.
