8 Major Comic-Con Revelations Everyone Missed

2. Ryan Reynolds Doesn’t Like His Previous Superhero Movies Either

There are few people who found much to like about X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and even less who would have cause to defend Green Lantern. They're often cited as two of the biggest misfires in their respective franchises - X-Men and the old DC universe - if not two of the biggest superhero movie failures full-stop.

Now you can add Ryan Reynolds to the list of critics, despite the fact he starred in both. Anyone who caught the leaked Deadpool trailer likely heard Reynolds - in character as the titular rogue - making reference to Green Lantern by saying, "just don't make the supersuit green, or animated!"

At the Deadpool panel, Reynolds was just as open about his dislike for his two superhero movies, presumably laying the smack on Green Lantern again by declaring, "I've only done one full, proper - sorry, not proper - superhero movie." He didn't go easy on Origins either, referencing one particularly irksome creative decision in the film by saying he "wasn't even paid" for the Deadpool movie: "they just promised me [they wouldn't sew my mouth shut]".
